Lijin Library was founded in March, 1956, and moved to a new site in 1987, covering a floor area of 5,267 square meters. The new building of the library was built in 1993, with a construction area of 1,150 square meters.

The library has 56,000 books, more than 1,000 bound volumes of newspaper, 5,000 bound volumes of journals, 120 thread-bound ancient Chinese books and more than one TB of digital books.

The library remains open to public for more than 56 hours every week, with three service stations, receiving more than 92,000 visitors every year.

Apart from this, the library organized a series of activities, such as recitation, article writing and lectures, as well as some on-site tutoring in the libraries of communities, towns and villages.

From Monday to Sunday 8:00 am-11:00 am; 1:30 pm-4:30 pm (October 1 to April 30)

From Monday to Sunday 8:00 am-11:00 am; 2:00 pm-5:00 pm (May 1 to September 30)
